Fundraising Appeals

The Yorkshire Arboretum is a charitable trust with all running costs, staffing and activities funded by the income generate, grants and donations. We are always looking for ways to generate more income to enable us to develop our offering, and adequately meet the needs of both our wonderful collection of trees and our visiting public. The appeals below introduce a few of the projects we would love to get started on as soon as possible. Any support or donations to help us achieve those goals would be greatly appreciated.

Children’s Playground

We would love to install a new childrens play area in the arboretum but simply lack the funds for designing, purchasing and installing one. We are hoping to raise £? in our appeal.

Outdoor Education Shelter

Because the weather is unpredictable, all outdoor teaching and activities need to be planned with a wet weather contingency. An outdoor education shelter would allow us to schedule a wider range of events whatever the weather.

Pathway creation and restoration

The arboretum holds water in wet weather, so hard standing pathways are essential for visitors to access the whole site in all seasons.
