Watercolour Workshop -Wild Meadows

  • Yorkshire Arboretum Unnamed Road YO60 7BY (map)

Wild Meadows, with Ione Harrison - £95pp includes lunch

This half day workshop is suitable for you whether you have some experience of watercolour and would like to explore new techniques, or a total beginner. Minimal drawing required! The emphasis of the workshop is very much on play and experimentation. After a time to explore and have a play with colour and techniques, you’ll be guided step by step to create two atmospheric paintings based on flowering wild meadows. You'll explore some fantastic and fun techniques (cling film, masking fluid, spatter) as well as practising more traditional washes and wet on wet painting.

What to bring: All materials are provided and included in the price so you just need to bring yourself; an apron and something to take your lovely painting(s) home with you would also be useful.

If you have any questions at all, please do email ioneharrisonart@gmail.com. Your tutor: Ione is a landscape artist and tutor with over 30 years' teaching experience. Her aim in her teaching is twofold: for you to feel supported to develop confidence and skill in using the wonderful medium of watercolour; for you to have fun and spend an enjoyable, restorative time playing with colour.

To book a space on this workshop please either email visit@yorkshirearboretum.org or ring our Front Desk on 01653 648598.
